I just cleaned my entire apartment this weekend, yet these past few days I’ve noticed a lot of dirt, etc. in my “inner courtyard” (a euphemism!). This morning, I looked up and discovered the cause: there’s a bird’s nest where a ceiling fan should be installed. It all makes sense now, because I always see birds hanging out on the railings above the courtyard.
The list of critters I’ve inadvertently housed (or am housing) now includes both the mundane and the (somewhat) bizarre: birds, cockroaches, geckos, a mouse, ants, mosquitoes, baby grasshoppers, and a millipede-type worm, amongst others I can’t describe or simply haven’t seen.Becoming one with nature…Lucknow style.
