The Impenetrable Castle: Part “Do”

As a follow up to the last entry, I’ve now been both locked out and locked in. Waking up to go for a run this morning, I found myself ready to go at 7:30 with nowhere to go. See, when you lock doors here, they tend to only be accessible from the side from which it was locked (think: deadbolt). For example, if Anna is in the apartment, there’s no way for me to lock the door while still providing her the freedom to leave freely.

Which is why I’m now sitting here writing this.

  1. I think in India, we take security for women very seriously. Not to say the streets are filled with men ready to jump on women at the bat of an eyelid, but just to say that we believe ' It is better to be (deadbolt) safe than to be sorry' :)
